Publishing theoretical and practical studies following academic, international scientific criteria, Ege Journal of Education would like to promote interaction and create a sharing environment both among experts and between science and society.
Ege Journal of Education publishes academic and authentic studies about educational sciences and field studies classified as scientific at national and international level.
Turkish and English articles are published in the journal. A comprehensive abstract in English is required for Turkish articles and Turkish for English articles.
The Ege Journal of Education accepts manuscripts that are prepared in accordance with the Author Guidelines. Authors are advised to use the Manuscript Template for proper formatting. In cases not specified in the Author Guidelines, the publication guide of the American Psychological Association (APA) (6th Edition, 2010) should be taken into consideration. Studies that do not comply with the Author Guidelines will not be taken into consideration.
Ege Journal of Education follows ethical principles suggested by COPE “Code of Conduct and Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors" and "COPE Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors". In accordance with these two guides, all the parties are expected to fulfil the responsibilities below:
It is expected that the articles sent to Ege Journal of Education will not be self-plagiarised or plagiarised from other authors. The authors are asked to obtain a similarity report during the application and decision phase in order to determine the originality of the article. The similarity score should be 15% or below.
If practices contrary to ethical principles are noticed in articles to be published or that are already published in Ege Journal of Education, we kindly request you to inform us about the situation at ege.egitim.dergisi@gmail.com.
The publishing process of the articles sent to Ege Journal of Education works as follows:
Pre-control Phase. The preparation of the article according to the similarity acceptance rate, spelling rules and template determined by Ege Journal of Education and its compliance with the scope of the journal and scientific method are pre-checked. At this phase, the Editorial Board and the Publishing Board may decide to accept or reject the article or request a correction. Authors can withdraw their articles at this phase.
Evaluation Phase. The article is evaluated by at least two peer reviewers. Taking into account of the peer reviewers' evaluations, authors can be asked to make corrections. Authors are expected to make the requested corrections within 15 days. The authors reserve the right not to make these corrections, provided that their reasons are explained in written form. Authors are asked to obtain an originality report for their articles. Considering the evaluation results of the peer reviewers and the similarity report, the Editorial Board and the Publishing Board decide whether the article can be published in the journal or not.
Editing of the Article. The article decided to be published is examined by the redactional and technical staff of Ege Journal of Education. At this stage, corrections may be requested from the authors in terms of grammar and spelling rules and formal arrangements. If the authors make the arrangements at this stage, the article will be published. Otherwise, the Editorial Board and the Publishing Board may decide not to publish the article.
The publication process of an article in Ege Journal of Education takes an average of 8 months from the date of submission.
The publisher of Ege Journal of Education , Ege University Faculty of Education has adopted the principle of publishing in terms of dedication to public interest and not seeking any profit. Therefore, no fee is charged from the authors for the evaluation or publication of their manuscript. For readers, open, electronic and free access to the journal is provided on the journal's web page.
